About the Score Entry Options section of GSI - GHIN Handicap Program

The Score Entry Options section of the GSI - GHIN Handicap Program includes the following selections for club information. You can assign, change and view Score Entry Option settings from the GSI - GHIN Handicap Program screen.

    • #/Lookup means a golfer may enter a score by typing either a GHIN Number or a Local Number (which number, GHIN or Local, depends on the selection in Number Type),  or by looking up a name in a player roster displayed on the screen (Member Lookup).

    • # Only means a golfer may enter a score only by typing a GHIN Number or a Local Number (which number, GHIN or Local, depends on the selection in Number Type).

    • None means a golfer may not enter their own score.

  • Entry Method:

    • Player means the individual score entry method assigned to the golfer in Player Management. Example: When Player is active, every golfer approaching the screen will see the custom score entry method that applies to him or her. The custom method may be ESC for some golfers, Hole By Hole for some, or Choice for some. The custom method is set through Player Management.

    • Choice means present the golfer a choice of ESC or Hole By Hole entry method each time a score is entered. Example: When Choice is selected, every golfer approaching the screen may choose between ESC and Hole By Hole score entry.
